A year ago, I had become a happy owner of digital piano Yamaha YDP 163 (black). It wasn’t an instant decision – I had spent several days in the store and tried out tens of different models to find the one with the best “feeling” (every hammer action keyboard is unique). And today I can confirm that it is still a great source of inspiration, mostly when I get tired of synthetic sounds and feel the need to touch the real thing. In fact, one of Illogical tracks – Les Pommes Bleues had been entirely composed on that, although the final sound is actually generated by Alicia’s Keys – a virtual piano by Native Instruments.
So, the real reason of writing this post is to mention my latest composition, created on a piano as well. The name of this short romantic piece is Helena’s Nocturne and the song is dedicated to my wonderful wife, the endless source of everything that helps me live my dream.
And if you are a pianist who likes the tune and wants to try it out, feel free to download the music sheet in PDF:
